Through a dynamic program of events, workshops and collaborative projects, ACFA brings together participants from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to deepen critical climate dialogue and encourage collective action. Our cultural responses aim to facilitate and inspire new strategies, build tangible know-how and strengthen our community’s capacity to drive meaningful change.
In February 2025, in partnership with Next Wave, City of Melbourne and George Paton Gallery, we held a symposium which aimed to build relationships and extend a vocabulary around how culture underpins the climate crisis. We brought together a range of speakers to survey past and current key projects, ongoing practices, and thinkers from the arts, academia, activism and climate campaigning.
